Background:
Tenor Anthony Kearns
Anthony Kearns took the American television audience by storm in 1999 as the youngest member of The Irish Tenors with whom he has 12 CDs and five PBS specials. Their CDs have gone Gold, Platinum and Double Platinum. American critics hailed Kearns as perhaps the most likely of the three (Irish Tenors) to “achieve the level of tenor super stardom enjoyed by Pavarotti and a handful of other singers.” Anthony Kearns has a robust international solo career, frequently performs on television, at prominent charity benefits, in operas, and with the finest symphony orchestras in the world. Known for his vocal range, power, and versatility, his solo concert repertoire draws on the same music as the legendary John McCormack, and American favorite, Mario Lanza, as well as songs of his native Ireland, inspirational and patriotic songs from the American Songbook, and well-loved melodies to sing along to.
Interior Designer Barry Dixon
Inspired by acres of lush Virginia countryside, Barry Dixon is known for a distinct aesthetic that blends Western styles with global influences from a childhood spent abroad in India, Pakistan, Korea, New Caledonia and South Africa. With projects spanning the world, Dixon imagines interiors that infuse artifacts and antiques with present‐day motifs ‐ all preserving the history and personality of the home’s owners and their treasures.
Dixon’s work is featured in Barry Dixon Interiors and Farrow & Ball: The Art of Color, both by Brian Coleman (author) and Edward Addeo (photographer) and Barry Dixon Inspirations and Fortuny Interiors, both by Brian Coleman (author) and Erik Kvalsvik (photographer). Dixon lives and works in his 1907 Edwardian estate, Elway Hall, located on 270 acres of farmland in the heart of Fauquier County, Virginia’s horse country.
